I haven’t been Catholic in a long time, but Easter still suspends the rhythm of business as usual.

Once upon an Easter in 2023, I was in the car, dressed in pale green, winding my old emerald pendant’s chain around my hand. Freshly recommitted to my still-burgeoning practice, and suddenly sure that life would never be the same again.

And it wasn’t. Thank the goddess it wasn’t.
